Indie neo-folk band seeking animator for music video

New member
My band is looking for a creative animator/filmmaker to make a music video for a song on our upcoming release. The music is space-out neo-folk: eerie, contemplative songs featuring acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, with themes of longing, isolation and crossing over. The video should fit with the overall aesthetic of the music. We’re open to your ideas, can offer some of our own, but mainly want the finished video to have vision and an artistic bent. We don’t want the typical video featuring footage of the band playing out in the desert or hanging out in their van. We don’t want to feature any footage of us at all. Instead, we’d like it to either animate the song and its story, or find a unique parallel story. The goal is to create something very simple but striking.

The record will be released in November and timeline for completion of the first video is 6-8 weeks. We’ll need future videos for multiple tracks so there’s potential for ongoing collaboration.

If interested, please write with some links to your work. This is a paid, indie-budget, work-for-hire job, with additional opportunity for collaboration and cross-promotion of each others’ art.
