CHARLOTTE HORROR FEST: Late Deadline closes in 7 DAYS

Dear filmmaking students,

The late deadline for the Charlotte Horror Fest is May 31st. We are looking for entries in the Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Mystery, and Thriller genres. The Festival offers Student Film entries a discounted submission fee.

The 1st annual Charlotte Film Festival will take place October 26-31, 2012, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event is produced by Indie Film Force, a nonprofit organization that also produces the already established Charlotte Film Festival.

The competitive event is open to films and videos with production dates after January 2010. Entries must be Charlotte premieres.

Accepted entries are considered for at least one of the following awards:

• Best Feature
• Best Short
• Best Student Film
• Best Short Screenplay
• Best Horror Film Trailer
• Best Charlotte Feature
• Best Charlotte Short
• Best Actor
• Best Actress
• Best Cinematography
• Best Music
• Best Editing
• Best Visual Effects
• Best Make-up
• Audience Choice Best Feature
• Audience Choice Best Short
• Audience Choice Best Student Film

The mission of the Charlotte Horror Fest is to bring filmmakers and film fans together for a celebration of the Horror and Sci-Fi genres. To create an event where the films can receive a quality projection that is on par with the dedication and perseverance that went into making them and fans can experience the works the way the filmmakers envisioned it.
