Call for Entries: CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Student & Youth Media

Early Deadline: June 1, 2015
Final Deadline: June 30, 2015

Since 1957, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards have honored excellence in media. It’s the honor that launches careers — the CINE Golden Eagle was the first industry recognition given to rising powerhouses Steven Spielberg (1969), Ken Burns (1981) and Pixar Animation (1987). Now, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards have been reimagined to champion the next generation of great media makers — YOU.

The new CINE Golden Eagle Awards for Student & Youth Media are now accepting submissions, with categories available for narrative, animated and documentary films from student and youth filmmakers.

Beyond just industry prestige, the CINE Golden Eagle Awards are designed to give student filmmakers professional feedback and networking opportunities. All filmmakers receive the comments from their films’ review and jury panels, and judging criteria is openly published on CINE’s website. A distinguished jury of notable filmmakers, producers and former CINE winners will select up to five finalists and a CINE Golden Eagle Award winner in each category. Golden Eagle Award winners and finalists will be recognized at CINE Celebrates events in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, DC this fall where they’ll meet industry executives and have their work showcased alongside their fellow Golden Eagle Award-winning producers from the Professional and Independent Media cycles.

Complete information and entry forms are available at or FilmFreeway. Entries received by June 1 receive our lowest entry fees, and all submissions are due by June 30, 2015. Discounts are available to schools or organizations that submit 10 or more productions on behalf of their students — email for a discount code.
