I edit all sound in Steinberg Cubase because it has an easy and accessible user interface that I have gotten used with in the past decade. From my experience, the software seems to be stable and free of glitches, the rendering happens fast and the price is also moderate.
I make animations, motion graphics and other 3D elements in Adobe After Effects because it is an accessible software for my needs. Because this software is very popular, you can find many learning resources online.
I edit videos in Premiere Pro because it offers support for most file formats, it has an user friendly interface and it works best with After Effects.
I edit images in Adobe Lightroom because it offers many features that I need. It has a good cloning & healing tool, many presets you can work with, it preserves the image quality and it is easy to manage hundreds of photos from a photoshoot.
