Hey Kim, great question. So many beautiful films are never seen; so many actors never become recognised. Remember what Constantin Stanislavski wrote: ‘Love Art in Yourself, Not Yourself in Art.’ Love your craft, even if you’re performing in a cold theatre with ten people watching or if you’ve put your film on YouTube with five likes or ten views – keep creating, keep believing and one day, it will happen. People are all about numbers these days. The first thing someone asks is how much you get paid, how many likes you have, how many followers you have, also how many views you have? Does it really matter? Shouldn’t people ask you how good it was for you being in the film, what’s your next gig, etc. why is it always about the dollar or the popularity?🤩 I love the fact that Sylvester stuck to his guns, I heard he even sold his beloved dog, but bought it back.
