I have an Oculus Quest 2 at home and I have used it to watch short films and play video games. Even though I wear glasses because I am shortsighted, I did not experience any negative side effects while using the VR. The first few times were a bit more difficult until I got used to it, then it all went smooth. In my case, it does not damage my eyes.
