Washington West Film Festival

Washington, D.C., October 5, 2021 –  The Washington West Film Festival, nominated by USAToday as the fifth best film festival in the United States, has announced its 2021 program, opening with the latest film from Oscar-winning auteur Wes Anderson, The French Dispatch, featuring Timothee Chalamet, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson and more. In addition, the festival’s lineup includes 31 films from emerging and Oscar-nominated filmmakers from around the world, representing a total of 13 countries.

From October 21-25, short, feature, and anniversary films will screen throughout Northern Virginia, including at two new venues in Tysons Corner, the ShowPlace Icon Theater and Capital One Hall. Films will also play at Bow Tie Cinemas in Reston and Lightridge High School in Aldie. The festival will also include a virtual component for all five days, with films and filmmaker Q&As available online.
