“From Dream to Reality: A Student’s Journey at LA FILM School – Month 2: Starting Behavioral Science”

Greetings everyone! I am LaVellay Henley and I am so grateful for all of you who have been following my journey here at StudentFilmmakers . This is my second month of classes and I am so excited to share with you all about my experiences so far.

Last month, I was still getting used to the online learning environment, but I was able to successfully complete my first level of classes. The fourth week of class was a bit harder for me as I was going through some personal issues, but I was able to overcome it and complete my final assignment, which was to create a script. I was so proud of myself for stepping outside of my comfort zone and I was able to bring my ideas to life through my script. I am looking forward to receiving my grade and hopefully sharing my experience with all of you in a future blog post.

This week, I started my second level of classes this week and I am happy to report that I have a new teacher who will be teaching us about behavioral science. I must admit, I don’t know what to expect from this class, but I am so excited for the new learning opportunities that lie ahead. I have been doing my homework on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I am eagerly waiting for my Techkit package to arrive in three weeks so that I can have a proper computer to work with.

Along with my classes, I have also been working on building my online presence for LA FILM School. I created a band app for the school, but I changed the name to StudentFILMmakers in hopes of making it easier to attract new members and build a strong community. Unfortunately, I was kicked out of the discord group for inviting too many people, but I have learned from my mistake and am focusing on finding new ways to connect with my peers.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the people who have welcomed me into this wonderful community. I would like to give a special shout-out to Kim, the creator of the StudentFilmmakers community, and to Maura, who reached out to me this week to offer her support. Their kindness and support have been invaluable to me, and I am so grateful to have them as part of my journey here at LA FILM School.

As a Christian, my ultimate goal is to open a big film production studio, but I am keeping my vision under wraps for now until I complete this mission. I want to encourage all of the students who are pursuing a career in the film industry to stay focused and not let anyone get in the way of their dreams. Trust in God and let Him guide you on your path.

I am still getting used to the StudentFilmmakers community, but I already love it here and I am so grateful for all of you who are following my journey. God bless you all, and I look forward to sharing my next update with you all.

Best regards,

LaVellay Henley
