In the September 2006 issue of StudentFilmmakers we printed the article "How to Build a 2.5K Soft Light Box for Under $250," (September Issue, page 13). It should be noted that the box is meant to be used on a generator with atleast a 3000 watt capacity. By no means should the box be used in a house or an apartment because the circuits of a home or an apartment can not support a device which draws 2500 watts. We suggest that you should not attempt to build this box if you do not have a good understanding of electrical work safety.
