Congratulations to Digital Film Academy graduate Zoi Florosz for winning the Independent Spirit Award at the 9th (2011) Angel Film Awards – Monaco International Film Festival. It was awarded for her short film "Brushstrokes" which she wrote, directed, choreographed, and filmed. The entire cast and crew was also in attendance for the world premiere of her short film. "Brushstrokes" is a story of a gifted painter suffering from debilitating strokes while her flamenco daughter tries to find creative ways to heal her. In addition, her short film also won Best Student Film at the 2012 Winter Film Awards. Congratulations!
