Wegener Receives $534,000 Order for Background Music Network

Equipment to support live and file-based audio broadcasts.

(Duluth, GA) Wegener Corporation, a provider of equipment for television, audio and data distribution networks worldwide, announces it has received an order for $534,000 to upgrade an existing background music network.

The order consists of Wegener's Compel� network control system and Unity� 202 enterprise audio receivers. Wegener's background music solution is optimized to manage multiple clients, music channels and audio insertions over satellite. A network operator can customize many aspects of music playout for individual or groups of sites, such as: front panel music selection, frequency of insertions and volume control. It will support networks of all sizes including 100,000+ sites. The Unity 202 supports the new standard for satellite demodulation technology DVB-S2.

This order was received during Wegener's first quarter of fiscal 2010 and will be shipped during Wegener's second quarter.
