(Dallas, TX) - Mediajuice Studios, an interactive industry veteran in producing award winning trailers & television campaigns for brands like Star Wars, Spider Man and X-Men announced last month its launch of a new film project about the history, culture and economics of the video game industry. Video Games: The Movie, helmed by Mediajuice president Jeremy Snead continues production this week at the annual Mecca for all things entertainment, San Diego Comic Con, where Snead and team will film interviews with the top names in Games and Hollywood.

Filming started last month at the E3 convention in Los Angeles, the yearly video game industry summit where Snead and his crew interviewed many top gaming companies such as Disney, Capcom, Konami, Paramount and SEGA. The documentary crew is shooting interviews around the world for the next seven months and is set to interview a whos who of industry luminaries. Snead says the project is the first of its kind.

Its really an untold story. Ive always been fascinated not only by the economics and culture of modern gaming but the rich history and origins of the industry. At some point a colleague suggested I read an award-winning book called High Score: The Illustrated History of Electronic Games, which I did, and fell in love with it. I immediately called the author, Rusel DeMaria and we struck a partnership where we would use his book as the historical guide to our film.

Snead adds the goal is to focus the documentary on the personal side of the industry wherever possible, just as High Score author Rusel DeMaria did in his book.

Our major objective is to capture the inside, untold stories from all the key players in the industry from the 1960s to now. Its an ambitious goal but well worth the struggle it will take to acquire it.

Jeremy and his team at Mediajuice plan to release behind the scenes pics and video clips during San Diego Comic Con as well as throughout the filming of the entire documentary, which will be posted to the films facebook, twitter and crowd-sourcing sites.
