(Dublin Ireland)It might sound like a strange topic for a video competition but MouthWatchers is looking for quirky videos to help the company promote its antibacterial toothbrushes in Ireland. Yes, toothbrushes.

Dubliner John McKiernan brought the innovative toothbrushes to Ireland after a trip to Boston last year and is hoping the video competition will help promotion by online word of mouth. McKiernan also has plans to distribute the MouthWatchers toothbrushes to the rest of Europe.

Free online competitions are popular and gather plenty of attention. It might sound like a strange topic for a video competition and people might wonder whats so special about a toothbrush, he says. It is a fantastic product, very cutting edge. But we are a small company so with the video competition we are looking to find someone creative, with a clever video to help us promote MouthWatchers in Ireland and Europe.

He explains Bacteria and germs growing on unhygienic toothbrushes can cause infections and other serious health problems. MouthWatchers is made with nano silver. Because bacteria and germs dont grow on silver, MouthWatchers eliminates 99% of bacteria.

MouthWatchers video competition will run until 15th May, a winning video and two runner-ups will be announced by a panel. The winning video will receive 1,000 and the two runner ups will receive 500.

It is not a popularity contest, we are not asking people to get all their families to vote for them or anything like in other free online competitions, we are just calling for creative entries and a panel will select what they believe is the best video to promote MouthWatchers, clarifies McKiernan.

Video competition submissions must be uploaded to You Tube or Vimeo and links emailed to MouthWatchers at [email protected] with the heading: #brushandtell video competition.

Mouthwatchers will publish all the entries on its website www.mouthwatchers.ie and Facebook page
