TouchSystems helps customers decrease the total cost of ownership related to owning a touch screen with the upgraded V Series touch displays.

TouchSystems improves its V Series line of large-format touch displays with two eco-friendly and energy efficient touch screens. The two screens, 42 inches and 46 inches, boast a number of new features, including LED-backlighting, a feature that lowers energy consumption and reduces total cost of ownership.

Carol Nordin, president of TouchSystems, says, “We know the benefits of using interactive digital displays, but the cost associated with buying and owning them can be an obstacle when it comes to making the final purchasing decision. As touch screens like our V 42 and V 46 become more affordable and use technologies that lower the cost of overall use and maintenance, more people will be able to invest in them.”

The V 42 and V 46, based on the NEC V423 and the NEC V463 respectively, both feature LED-backlighting, which not only affects energy consumption but also results in a slimmer bezel depth. Their internal temperature sensors and fans also help with energy consumption and ensure the longevity of the display in demanding, high-use environments such as retail stores and quick service restaurants (QSR). The displays feature built-in speakers and HD LCD displays. The screens are integrated with Dispersive Signal Technology (DST), a technology ideally suited for rigorous environments.
