Upcoming Deadlines: April 15, 2012 - Regular Deadline.
Festival Dates: October 4 to 11, 2012.

The 7th Annual Tacoma Film Festival (TFF) is a true grassroots event showcasing the best in independent cinema from around the globe, with a special focus on films and filmmakers from the Pacific Northwest. Held over eight days in Tacoma, Washington, TFF strives to enrich attending filmmakers and festival audiences with the power of community engagement.

TFF celebrates current independent, foreign language, art house, documentary, and short films of all lengths and genres. Exhibiting filmmakers will receive an all-access pass including entry for one guest, invitations to the filmmaker reception and meet-and-greet, and when possible, assistance with travel and accommodations. A cash prize of $500 USD is awarded to each winner in all categories of entry and future TFF entry fees are waived for alumni who wish to return to the Festival with their future films.

TFF success stories include 2011 Best Animated Film-winner THE FANTASTIC FLYING BOOKS OF MR. MORRIS LESSMORE, which won the 2012 Oscar for Best Animated Short; Eric D. Howell whose short film ANA'S PLAYGROUND went on to receive an Academy Award nomination; and 2008 alum and 2011 Sundance award-winner Drake Doremus, whose latest project (LIKE CRAZY) was released by Paramount Pictures. Such accomplishments speak to the Festival's keen eye for excellent programming.
