Scayl (www.scayl.com), the next-generation software application that simplifies sending big files, is proud to announce that it has delivered a feature film to the Dallas VideoFest that won best documentary. Using Scayl, Director Kristy Guevara-Flanagan submitted her documentary, "Wonder Women! The Untold Story of American Superheroines," to the 25th annual Dallas VideoFest at the Dallas Museum of Art. She sent a whopping 28.5 GB 62 HD movie via email.

Scayl is a next-generation email platform that uses a unique distributed cloud service to enable secure large file transfers over public and private IP networks. Scayl improves upon current email and popular centralized client-server services that limit file sizes, institute storage charges and have premium distribution costs. With Scayl, creators, marketers, publishers and artists can simply distribute high-quality content, including vivid uncompressed video files, with email ease of use. It is the first direct delivery distributed cloud service that eliminates the pain of current big file distribution services and works seamlessly with legacy email. Stanford graduate Guevara-Flanagan's "Wonder Women!" won the best documentary award at the Dallas VideoFest, which is the oldest and largest United States event spotlighting independent video.

Scayl successfully delivered several video entries to the VideoFest competition as part of a pilot program designed to prove the software's capabilities. "I applaud Scayl's efforts to make festival submissions easier for filmmakers," said Guevara-Flanagan. "It's exciting to be exploring so many online resources." Bart Weiss, Dallas VideoFest Artistic Director, was equally enthusiastic. "It's just like email, and everyone knows how to use email," said Weiss. "Everyone who has a video to share should look into using Scayl. We were really pleased with how great the videos looked."

Scayl's free version gives consumers and professional content creators an easy, fast, and secure way to deliver large attachments (including HD, 3D and 4K videos and file folders) via an email-style interface. It runs on a variety of devices, and users can view video attachments on any device, including PCs, Macs, iPAD, HD TVs and mobile devices. Scayl works alongside email clients such as Outlook to provide an easy way to deliver high-resolution video and other large files. For more information, please visit www.scayl.com and videofest.org.
