November 8 marks the date for the release of Academy Award winning songwriter Randy Newman's project Randy Newman: Live in London. While promoting his 2008 album Harps and Angels, Mr. Newman gave a concert at the London Symphony Orchestra's St. Luke's, an 18th-century Anglican chapel, an intimate performance space used by the LSO for its community and education programs. Accompanied by the BBC Radio Orchestra under the direction of Robert Ziegler, the concert was televised by the BBC. The recording of this performance will be released by Nonesuch Records and is now available for preorder at www.nonesuch.com.

Featured on the 22-track set are songs selected from Mr. Newman's oeuvre from the past forty years, including some of his best-known songs like "Short People", "Louisiana 1927", and "I Think It's Going to Rain Today", as well as newer songs such as "A Few Words in Defense of My Country" and "Laugh and Be Happy". A BBC interview with the famous composer is also included on the companion DVD.
