Valerie Pepe’s 3rd annual AMC Music Festival held last Saturday, June 1, 2013 was sponsored by PENSRUS PENS and boasted a huge success with over 200 festival goers showing up to enjoy awesome sounds from some of New Yorks most popular local bands and artists.

ARTHROGRYPOSIS MULTIPLEX CONGENITA (AMC) is a rare congenital disorder, and as yet has no known cure or prenatal diagnostic measures despite widely available access to ultrasound technology. Children born with AMC have multiple joint contractures and typically face a lifetime of corrective surgeries and rehabilitation. AMC usually affects only the extremities, but it can also affect the spine, cranial structures, and central nervous system.

Valerie Pepe, herself born with AMC, has put countless hours into her efforts to raise funding, awareness and education around AMC and to help families and individuals who are affected by this debilitating disease. With a good deal of help from Henry Morgan, and his promotional products company PENSRUS PENS of New York, Pepe has been able to see growing success year after year with her creation, the AMC Music Festival.

"Without the generous donations of time, money and customized tote bags, Original Koozie can Koolers and imprinted pens by PENSRUS PENS, I can’t imagine that we would see the publicity and success that we do every year."

Of this year’s event, Pepe said, “The music festival brought many AMC together and some of these families met for the first time. Dr. Harold Van Bosse of Shriner's Hospital for Children was in attendance with his family. The founder of old AMCSI and her family attended as well. The families made a great connection. We ran the trailer of 'The Sweetest Gift', which is the documentary on AMC; imagine, more than 200 attendees completely silent and applauding after the trailer ended.”

With the generous contributions of PENSRUS PENS and local celebrities, the event was a wonderful success. “It was a great day. I'm just short of my goal of $10,000, so I plan to keep the website active for donations, as well as for next year’s festival,” said Pepe.
