NAB Show to Present New 'Faith In Film' Super Session

Technologies for Worship Pavilion Returns

The NAB Show will feature a new Super Session titled "Faith in Film: A Roadmap for Success in Hollywood," Wednesday, April 14th in Las Vegas. Produced by 168 Film Project, the session will explore opportunities that exist in Hollywood for films of faith drawing from examples like "Blind Side" and "Fireproof," which have recently achieved mainstream success in the box office.

The Super Session will include a panel discussion featuring writer/producer Brian Bird of "Touched by an Angel;" Paul Lauer, founder of Motive Entertainment, which designed and managed the marketing campaign for Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ," and writer/director Joshua Weigel. The session is moderated by John David Ware, founder and president of the 168 Film Project.

The 168 Film Project is a competition in which films are based on a Bible verse and created in a one week time period to premiere at the 168 Film Festival. The 8th annual competition will occur February-March 2010, and the film festival is March 26-27.

Special registration discounts are available at www.168project.com.

Back again this year for the faith-based community is the Technologies for Worship (TFW) Pavilion, presented by Technologies for Worship Magazine and located in the north hall of the NAB Show exhibition. The TFW Pavilion provides a place for houses of worship to connect with a technology-driven culture through workshops offering hands-on training with state-of-the-art equipment.
