(San Francisco, CA) Matcha.tv, an online video aggregator that intelligently integrates users' streaming video services, social graph and rich metadata for a more personalized video experience, is now available for iPad users with the launch of the Matcha.tv iPad app. Matcha.tv users can now easily find, follow and watch their favorite movies and TV shows from various providers such as Netflix, Hulu, iTunes, Amazon, and Comcast Xfinity directly from their iPad via Matcha.tv's unified user hub.

With more than 200,000 on-demand, streaming video titles scattered across multiple services and devices, the process for finding and following movies and TV shows online has become increasingly fragmented – and frustrating – for consumers. Viewers are also spending too much time searching for content and getting irrelevant results in return. Matcha.tv was specifically developed to combat these problems.

"Before cable TV we relied on the latest copy of TV Guide to help us find and follow our favorite TV shows and this later evolved into the electronic program guide that many of us still use today," said Guy Piekarz, Matcha.tv co-founder and CEO. "However, the explosion of the streaming video industry – along with the increased popularity of tablet devices – has dramatically changed how users are finding and watching movies and TV shows, and the idea of a single programming guide must be re-imagined. Matcha.tv's personalized aggregation technology quickly filters through 200,000+ streaming video titles to provide accurate and intelligent recommendations so users can start watching their favorite videos faster."

With global iPad sales approaching 100 million, Matcha.tv developed its iPad application to serve these mobile users – most of whom report watching on-demand TV shows, full-length movies and live broadcasts on their devices. Additionally, the company plans to release its application on more platforms later this year.
