SAR Productions is proud to announce the screening of multi-award winning ‘David Is Dying’ at MIST Harlem Cinema from 21st – 27th June 2013.

‘MIST’ (My Image Studios), which includes the delectable Harvist Restaurant, is based in Harlem, New York. A fair trade social venture, planned, programmed and built to share the authentic and diverse cultures of the African and Latino Diaspora.

Multi Award-winning producer/writer/director of ‘DID’ Stephen Lloyd Jackson states, “This is what indie film-making is all about; taking your hard-earned project to exciting venues around the world.” He goes on to say, “Venues such as MIST Harlem are a quintessential platform for artists from all over the world to showcase their unique talent; a hub for food, film, music, poetry and comedy.”

‘David Is Dying’ has basked in an exceptional run of success since it was brought to the international audience. On its mantelpiece are eight international film awards. It has screened in over 20 international film festivals, including the 15th American Black Film Festival in Miami, where it picked up a double grand jury prize win for best male actor - Lonyo Engele, and best director - Stephen Lloyd Jackson; the first UK feature film to achieve such outstanding accolades in the ABFF’s history.

Writer/director Stephen Lloyd Jackson will also be attending the MIST screening of ‘DID’ at some point in an exclusive Q&A session. He’ll be bringing his unadulterated charisma, flare and passion to the evening’s event. Also on the bill will be an exclusive sneak preview from his latest feature film, ‘Sable Fable’ the second installment from the ‘sex & race’ trilogy.
