When his mother's career moves them from Detroit to China, 12-year-old Dre Parker finds himself in a strange land with no friends. Soon, Dre befriends maintenance man, Mr. Han. Han agrees to teach Dre kung fu to defend himself from the school bully. Training together, Dre and Han learn to trust each other and form a friendship that heals them both. Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan star in this remake of the classic teacher-student story.
