An Irish Hello: A Father's Day Comedy That Packs a Punch

(New York City, NY) - "Newsies" fight director J Allen Suddeth guest stars in Daily Fiber Films' new Father's Day comedy video, "An Irish Hello," proving you can't treat Father's Day like Mother's Day. Dads don't want flowers, candy, and a heartwarming card. No, on Father's Day men want some good food, maybe some good beer, and a funny video where bottles get broken and people get punched. At least that's the theory at Daily Fiber Films.

"Seventy percent of our audience is male and we're a bunch of guys with hilarious fathers, so we wanted to make something that would make our fathers laugh", says William Philbin, a partner at Daily Fiber and the director of the festival winning father/son documentary "More Than Me" starring comedian Jim Breuer and his aging eighty four year old father.

"I come from a very Irish family with a really spirited sense of humor", says actor and writer Raymond McAnally, "We like to take family baggage, dump it right on the table, and make fun of it. That's how you know you're loved. The Dad in this video is just an extreme example of that kind of relationship." The nucleus of the joke certainly seems to be, "If you're Irish, sure you can bet on two things; you're Ma loves you and your Da is probably trying to kill you."

"It was amazing to have a professional fight director of Allen's caliber on board", says Mark Nickelsburg who directed 'An Irish Hello' while premiering his own father/son film, "Harry Grows Up", at the New York International Shortsfest and winning the 'Best of New York' Award. "Allen's skill level made it hard to know where to stop. I wanted him to hit Ray with everything in the room!"

"An Irish Hello" is certainly a must share with every Dad you know this Father's Day. The guys at Daily Fiber have already made their Dads laugh. How about you?
