While films about science and scientists appear regularly at annual general film festivals in New York City, nothing like the Imagine Science Film Festival (ISFF) currently exists. It is an innovative film festival based on scientists’ and filmmakers’ desire not only to effectively communicate science, but also to transform scientific ideas into something accessible and creative to the city’s diverse audiences.

ISFF encourages artists and filmmakers to explore the potential of science, technology and medicine in cinema. The festival also gives scientists the opportunity to learn about the world of filmmaking and to realize the creative potential and accessibility of their work.
