Eclectic actor Gregory Blair (Camp Virginovich, Samurai Avenger, Love That Girl!, Amazing Sports Stories, Alternate History, etc.) has just signed with management company Royalty Rope, Inc. As a character actor with tremendous range, playing everything from hapless fall guys, losers and geeks to vicious, vitriolic villains, Mr. Blair has found it hard to find representation that can exploit his full potential. But the team at Royalty Rope, Inc. is up for the challenge.  

Blair explains the history: “At different times, I have had a commercial agent, two theatrical agents and a literary agent: all worked hard and got me jobs and/or opportunities I would not have found or had access to myself. But none got me more jobs than I got on my own.  It could have been the market, the timing, their focus or reach—it’s hard to say. But we all amicably parted ways and I went along without any representation for many years and survived. I got some of my best roles on my own.  It can be done.  It’s just very, very hard.”

But recently, Sean Debeverac, head of Royalty Rope, Inc. caught Blair in a showcase and called him in for a meeting. They agreed to a trial period. In the following weeks, Blair had several auditions, courtesy of Royalty Rope’s efforts—including one that landed him a role on an episode of “Love That Girl!” After the shoot, the “Love That Girl!” folks told Sean they wanted Gregory to come back and reprise his role in future episodes. Sean decided he wanted to sign Gregory as an official client and Gregory was agreeable to the idea.
