(Los Angeles, CA) - Legendary producer/engineer and Alfred author, Ken Scott, was a special GRAMMY Museum guest on June 5th at the exclusive screening of D. A. Pennebakers The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars concert/documentary film. The event celebrated the release of a 40th anniversary edition of David Bowie's truly groundbreaking album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott, along with the book launch of Scotts Abbey Road to Ziggy Stardust: Off the Record with The Beatles, Bowie, Elton, and so Much More memoir, authored by Ken Scott and Bobby Owsinski.

After the film, Ken Scott took the Clive Davis Theater stage before a capacity crowd for a provocative and oh-so-honest discussion about Kens time working in and out of the studio with Bowie, moderated by Vice President of the GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares Scott Goldman.

Ken Scott has worked with a whos who of classic rock acts including The Beatles, Elton John, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Procol Harum, Jeff Beck, Duran Duran, Harry Nilsson, the Rolling Stones, Lou Reed, America, Devo, Kansas, The Tubes and Missing Persons among many others. He has received multiple GRAMMY nominations with dozens of Gold and Platinum records for works that have significantly influenced music, and music makers, for decades.

At last count, the records that Ken Scott has produced or on which hes been the sound engineer have sold more than 200 million units. However, no honor stands as large as his recent election to the Sound Fellowship of the United Kingdoms Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS), a lifetime achievement award recognizing his contribution to music.

GRAMMY Museum invites members and the general public to attend Abbey Road to Ziggy Stardust: The Talk presented by American Express on Thursday, July 19 at 7:30 P.M at the GRAMMY Museum, 800 West Olympic Blvd., Los Angeles, CA.
