(Fairview, TX and Austin, TX) Texas movie lovers experienced their first taste of the VIP screening experience on May 7 when the newest locations of Gold Class Cinemas rolled out the red carpet. Located in the DFW Metroplex in the new Village at Fairview in Fairview, Texas, and The Domain in Austin, Texas, Gold Class Cinemas hosted local movie-lovers at more than 20 sold out screenings of the highly anticipated "Iron Man 2."

More than 20,000 members have joined within the first three days of opening. They are already reaping the benefits of the free membership including Tuesday half price menu items, birthday 2-for-1 ticket prices and pre-sale alerts for the hottest summer Blockbuster movies. Special guests like members of the North Texas Super Bowl Committee and the cast and crew of "True Grit" participated in special screenings of "Iron Man 2" at the new Gold Class Cinemas as well.

"Gold Class Cinemas continues to deliver the best movie going experience in the world," said Tim Carroll, global chief marketing officer, Village Roadshow Limited. "In fact, at the Fairview location, I heard one of our first members say that they would never experience dinner and a movie any other way. It only gets better from here with movies like "Sex and the City 2" and "Shrek Forever 3D" opening this summer."

Texans have already declared Gold Class Cinemas the venue for the ultimate "girls night out" for "Sex and the City 2," as show times are already selling out a few weeks before opening. Reserve seats now at www.goldclasscinemas.com before the movie opens May 27 and enjoy a special drink menu including the Flirtini and the "Sex and the City" girls' favorite, the Cosmopolitan. "Robin Hood" with Russell Crowe is the next Blockbuster to open in the Texas locations on May 14.

More than 2.5 million people attend a movie at Gold Class Cinemas each year. It easily transforms the average movie night into a gold-standard event with online seat selection, a fully-stocked bar and lounge, and complete menu of easy-to-eat comfort food featuring Maine lobster rolls with lemon aioli and Thai chili dipping sauce, Texas-raised Wagyu beef sliders, homemade chips with blue cheese fondue and more. Guests are encouraged to come early and enjoy a pre-show drink or appetizer in Gold Class Cinemas' comfortable and spacious lounge.

The Austin and Fairview locations are the fifth and sixth locations in North America, with other Gold Class Cinemas in Pasadena, Calif., Seattle and the Chicago area. Village Roadshow Limited created the Gold Class experience in countries such as Europe, Asia and Australia as the first of its kind, providing an intimate movie screening setting unlike any other cinema experience in the world.
