"On Christmas Day, you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything stirring around town. But within the United States Botanic Gardens, the Garden Railway will be chugging along through the holidays (the Botanic Gardens itself is open 365 days a year). With 800 feet of track that winds through wooded,hand-constructed decorations, this is the best train you’ll find outside of Union Station. This year’s exhibit, entitled 'Who Lives Here,' features dwellings made of plants, shells, and wood and is perfect holiday fun for kids. In fact, when we went to film the train set, we were bombarded by an army of excited children, battling for the best view as rail cars made their way around the bend.
