From an unexpected meeting at a Kazakhstan club, Chicago based UpOrDown Entertainment executive producer, John Steele, discovered that rare talent he had sought for many years. Nursi, an extraordinary singer/songwriter/musician and actress, incredibly, began singing full songs, in two languages, at the age of one! She made her debut on Kazakhstan television by the time she reached four. Steele says, "When Nursi sings, the hair on your arms rises." He wasted no time in signing Nursi to an exclusive contract comprising a feature film, music videos, albums, and several singles, including the just dropped stunning live cover single, "Listen (Live Performance)"

Nursi's parents, both professional singer/musicians, found it necessary to leave her and her brother in the care of relatives while they lived in a distant city, performing in cafes, just to provide for the struggling family. This was at a time in the early 1990's after Kazakhstan declared its independence from the Soviet Union and almost everyone's life savings were virtually wiped out overnight. Being raised in poverty by loving, dedicated parents, while blessed with priceless musical talent, has resulted in a young lady of incomparable character and compassion. "I'm happy if I have a microphone in front of me and food on the table. Anything beyond this is a gift from God and should be used to make a difference in the lives of others," Nursi insists. With this unselfish perspective, she has vowed to donate a substantial percentage of her music sales to charity and she has been recognized for her charitable work.

Often compared to the top vocalists in the industry, Steele says, "Nursi, with her extremely unique, powerful, and instantly identifiable voice, has everything it takes to captivate a worldwide audience." Add to this her gift for writing, with a charming personality, and the future for this songstress looks unstoppable.
