(Orlando, FL) Momma & Me is a new sitcom filming its pilot next month on March 1, 2, and 3rd at EBON/A-Match Studios in Titusville, Florida. The show is being produced by Campbell and promises to deliver a new slant to the traditional family sitcom. Momma & Me is loosely based on the lives and times of a real mother and son known to writers and executive producers, Marlon Campbell and Akbar Cojoe. Says Campbell, first cousin of filmmaker Tyler Perry, "I have watched this real life story unfold for years and always thought it would make a great sitcom. With actress Bern Nadette Stanis on board as Momma, the idea has finally made the transition from conceptualization to realization." Stanis is best known for her iconic role as "Thelma Evans" on the hit 70's TV sitcom "Good Times."

The plot of Momma & Me is clear. It revolves around the relationship of a mother and son – a son trying to come up in the world and a meddling mother who knocks him back down every time. The show includes an ensemble cast which lends itself to a broad variety of storylines. There is the expected love and romance, camaraderie and enmity, triumphs and pitfalls, but what gives this story its unpredictable angle is the pervading influence of the dominating mother, Eva Johnson, whose pure intentions taint every prospect her son, Donnie Matthews (played by actor Wayne Alibey), pursues.

The story upholds the idea that everyone has something to overcome in life. Donnie has good looks, acumen, a great job, a promising love interest, and an upright best friend; however, to balance the scales, he also has Momma. Viewers will enjoy watching what Momma will mess up next as Donnie goes through the day-to-day travails of trying to achieve more than he did the day before.
