(Austin, TX) - Cannes International Film Festival or as the French say, "Festival De Cannes", is the one of the oldest and most revered film festivals in the world. Texas director, Brad Montesi, was invited to attend the festival this year with his film, Recess, an award-winning short about a children's game of duck-duck-goose gone wrong.

On top of it's invitation to Cannes, Recess has been selected by over fifteen festivals across the U.S. and has won awards including the Best Short Film at the Astoria Film Festival and Best Young Audience Short at the Eugene Film Festival.

Recess marks Elle LaMont's first step into directing as the film's Second Unit Director. Her usual position on a film set is in front of the camera. Last year, she was nominated for Best Actress at the Long Island International Film Festival and the Tulsa International Film Festival for her role as 'Chavine' in Mark Dennis and Ben Foster's award-winning feature film, 'STRINGS'.
