EDM Documentary �The Drop: The EDM Culture Explosion� Enters Production

(Toronto, Ontario) - Zev Norotsky of Elektro Magazine and Alan Smithson of SmithsonMartin have been named Executive Producers of 4015 Productions upcoming feature-length documentary film �The Drop: The EDM Culture Explosion�, directed by award-winning filmmaker, Edward Platero.

Norotsky, who serves as the Elektro Magazine's executive publisher is deeply absorbed in the world of Electronic Dance Music and seeks to provide the masses with a behind the turntables look into the rapidly growing world of EDM, highlighting the tools, gear and mindset used to create the music and live the lifestyle as well as the fans who attend shows and festivals.

Smithson has been involved in the EDM scene for 15 years as a professional DJ and is currently the CEO of SmithsonMartin � the company behind Emulator � a fully customizable touch screen software application developed for EDM artists and producers. His passion for EDM lead to the creation of Star Productions, a Production, Audio/Visual & DJ Talent Agency.

�The Drop: The EDM Culture Explosion� has entered production, traveling across North America documenting EDM�s impact on popular culture. With the goal of capturing a comprehensive look at the momentum of Electronic Dance Music in North America, filming has included interviews with artists from around the world, gathering perspectives from EDM veterans and up and comers. Interviews also include popular hardware and software creators, EDM clothing and accessory brands, as well as festival and club show producers. Filming has also chronicled the festival experience from the perspective of the fans and the artists. Production of �The Drop: The EDM Culture Explosion� is scheduled to continue through the fall.
