(Glendale, CA) DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (Nasdaq: DWA) announces that Andrew Chang, DreamWorks Animation's Head of Litigation and Technology Law, has been named General Counsel.

Chang has been with DreamWorks for seven years and has held his current position since the Company's IPO in 2004. Katherine Kendrick, who currently serves as General Counsel, has announced plans to leave the Company when her contract expires at the end of 2009.

"As he has done so successfully over the past seven years, I am confident that Andrew will remain a leading force in propelling DreamWorks Animation into the future when he joins our executive team as General Counsel," said Lew Coleman, President and Chief Financial Officer of DreamWorks Animation. "Andrew was instrumental in negotiating a number of the Company's key strategic partnerships and alliances - including those with HP, Intel and Technicolor in India - and possesses the skill set required to maintain DreamWorks Animation's position as a true leader in technology with a strong corporate infrastructure."

Chang commented, "It is truly an exciting time at DreamWorks Animation as the Company grows and diversifies at an unprecedented rate. I welcome this new opportunity to serve in a greater capacity and look forward to working with the Company's deep bench of innovative and creative talent."

Prior to joining DreamWorks Animation, Chang held the position of Vice President of Legal at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc. Before joining MGM, he was an associate at the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, in Los Angeles, specializing in litigation, antitrust and distribution practices. Chang received his J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and an A.B. in politics from Princeton University.
