(Studio City, California) You can lose the weight while living a normal life, according to the director of the upcoming documentary entitled, "Why Am I So Fat?"

26-year-old Gabe Evans weighed 435 pounds in June 2011 and was categorized as super obese for most of his adult life, until he started learning the science behind losing weight.

"It's not just about losing weight," says Evans, "it's about improving your quality of life. You learn a lot about yourself on the road to health. It's important to know that you can give one-hundred percent, physically and mentally."

Over the last six months, Evans has been interviewing health professionals, nutrition specialists, personal trainers, and health food companies. The end goal is to educate, inspire, and provide comprehensive information about weight loss that is straightforward and usable.

Evans feels that proper education is crucial in today's society. "If you ask anyone on the street how to lose weight, everyone knows the ‘right answers,' but the right answers aren't really showing results. I think it's time that we change the questions that we're asking. It's not about working out for eight hours a day, and it's not about counting your calories; it's about learning what is right for your body chemistry."

Gabe Evans believes that it is never too late to lose the weight. "It may be corny, but truthfully, knowledge is power. There is no magic pill that will rid the world of obesity," says Evans, "Instead, the discovery of new information allows for the possibility of real change."
