(Nashville, TN) - This August, Documentary Channel (DOC) explores the increasingly dangerous, emotional conditions faced by our nation's war correspondents with the US television premiere of director Martyn Burke's "Under Fire: Journalists in Combat" on Saturday, August 11 (8 pm ET/PT). As battle lines continue to be drawn around the globe, now more than ever our country relies on those gathering news and information in extreme war conditions. "The Axe in The Attic" (August 25, 8p ET/PT), explores American Diaspora in the aftermath of one of the country's most devastating disasters, Hurricane Katrina. A remarkable look at the lives of numerous evacuees, "The Axe in the Attic" bears witness of the loss, dignity, perseverance and humor of people who became exiles in their own country but still fought to survive. "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till" (August 28, 8 pm ET/PT), tells the shocking story of the murder of a 14-year-old black boy from Chicago, lynched for whistling at a white woman in the street. "The Untold Story of Emmett Louis Till" articulates the madness of racism in 1950's America. Airing as part of Documentary Channel's Black Documentary Cinema.
