Just returned from the Cannes Film Festival, Adam Lipsius the Director of Denver-based Uptown 6 Productions, announces a pre-school remake of the film classic King Kong. Dubbed Kid Kong, the new version stars 100 infants, two-year olds and other pre-schoolers in vintage wardrobe.

Produced in association with the Montessori Academy of Colorado for their anniversary gala, the 4-minute movie features a cast all under 4 feet tall.

Shot over 6 weeks against a hand-made green-screen with props, costumes and back-grounds manufactured with the cast and staff of the school, the mini-epic strives to bring to life a child's fantastical point-of-view.

To do that, the crew had to reproduce period buildings, cars and airplanes entirely from recycled packaging in an effort to resurrect New York City in the raging 1920's, a la The Great Gatsby. And they had to do all of this while circum-navigating class-room schedules, lunch and nap-times, out-breaks of strep and out-of-control cast members hurling bananas in every direction.

Lipsius is best known for last year's hit feature, 16-LOVE, an iTunes best-seller for over 13 months. We would love to make him and Kid Kong available for review and features.
