(Chicago and Los Angeles) Lionsgate has released Ca$h on DVD, Digital Download and On Demand.

It's a twisted, exciting game of injustice and consequences when the power of greed takes over. Chris Hemsworth (lead actor in the upcoming Thor) stars alongside Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) and Victoria Profeta (Push) in the action-filled psychological dramedy, Ca$h. Raising the question of how far someone will go for money, the film takes audiences through an exhilarating story filled with danger and suspense on the streets of Chicago.

A stroke of good luck -- finding a suitcase full of cash -- turns lethal for Sam Phelan (Hemsworth) and his wife Leslie (Profeta) when the sinister criminal Pyke Kubic (Bean) arrives at their doorstep, looking to collect what he believes is his. As Pyke leads Sam and Leslie on a tumultuous adventure through the streets of Chicago, each are pulled deeper and deeper into a desperate spiral of deception and violence ... all in the name of Ca$h.

The DVD is filled with bonus features including deleted and extended scenes, audio commentary and "The Making of Ca$h" featurette. The featurette includes a segment on Hemsworth's rise to stardom; the Australian soap star had just arrived in the United States when Ca$h filmmakers hired him to star alongside veteran actor Bean. Hemsworth went on to land a role in StarTrek, and is set to star in Marvel's upcoming Thor.

To coincide with the DVD release of the film, the filmmakers are auctioning off items from the movie sets. Ebay auctions are scheduled through August 2010. More information on the auctions can be found on the film's official website.

Jacksonville.com's Cinemania (The Florida Times-Union) calls Ca$h, "A surprising present of cinema delight." Screenrant.com describes Ca$h as a "Twist-filled crime thriller."
