Austin Film Festival Update

The Austin Film Festival will be held on October 24-31.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Austin Film Festival (AFF) is, as always, about one thing - filmmaking. Today, where all major festivals have become overrun with corporate involvement, parties, and gifting suites, The AFF is truly a film lover’s sanctuary.  It's a place where A-list directors, screenwriters, and fans of an exceptional movie-going experience converge annually to watch the year's best films, trade creative ideas, and ask and answer questions in a wide variety of panels and Q&A's.   This year's AFF promises an outstanding line-up of brand new films (last year's films included Silver Linings Playbook, Flight, It’s a Disaster and many others) and luminaries.  This year, esteemed director Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs) is being feted alongside Vince Gilligan, the creator of TV’s smash hit “Breaking Bad”, among many others. Some notable attendees from past years include Johnny Depp, James Franco, Julia Stiles, America Ferrera and many others.
