(Los Angeles, CA) The digital media products and services company, Morph Syndicate has named Athena Ashburn as President of Original Digital Content. She spent the past 14 years as an Independent Feature Film Producer, most recently Co- Producer the feature “Bobby”, which was nominated for "Best Picture" for a Golden Globe in 2007. In her role, Athena will be overseeing the development and production of original programming for short and long form digital content. "Morph Syndicate delivers high quality content with a financial model that works for the web. Our plight is to develop, produce and distribute rich story driven pieces with heart." states Athena.

First on the slate of projects, is the new anthology web series that Athena is the Co-Creator on, entitled “20 Dollar” - a contemporary Twilight Zone, which was launched this year.The first episode pays homage to Athena's late aunt Inger Stevens, who starred in the famous TZ episode "The Hitch Hiker".

20 Dollar focuses on topical storylines, with ordinary people, who suddenly find themselves in extraordinary situations, with eerie and at times supernatural parallel realities. Each episode ends with an ironic twist that connects us all together – that being a single twenty-dollar bill.
