Green film speaks with top oil companies and alternative energy leaders to examine our national and global environmental issues, now available on DVD.

(Metuchen, NJ) Featuring interviews with the Chairman of BP Capital, the Executive Director of the Sierra Club, the Former President of Shell Oil, and other top oil companies, "Houston We Have A Problem" seeks the truth about our nation's dependence on foreign oil. Screened at our Nation's Capital and nationwide for Earth Day, and featured on Discovery's Planet Green as part of its Reel Impact series, the documentary is now available on DVD.

In the midst of global warming and peak oil, the world's energy crisis is becoming more and more real. Aggressive strategies for securing crude oil now go to the highest bidder or biggest bully. The film exposes confessions of oilmen who work in the trenches everyday to satisfy our nation's addiction to cheap oil. The country with the most developed alternative energy sources will lead the 21st century, and as America's new administration faces a government gridlock on the issue, both Wall Street and Main Street are rallying to create a clean energy economy.

All sides of the energy crisis are explored in this examination of the future of energy: we hear about new forms of Wildcatting in renewable energy and algae fuel production, and we hear the opinions of top oil company executives themselves. The film also chronicles decades of American presidents, from Nixon to Obama, warning us about our nation's dependence on foreign oil and the looming world energy crisis. "Houston We Have a Problem" searches for clean energy solutions to create a green planet.

The film has been screened at numerous festivals including Athens International Science Film Festival, Environmental Film Festival of Yale University, United Nations Documentary Film Festival, Cambridge International Film Festival, and has won the Directors Award of Docuwest Film Festival, and the Point of View Award of Eco Focus Film Festival. "Houston We Have A Problem" has been called "A devastatingly fresh documentary that stands out in the surge of films that address green issues" by the Napa Film Review, and the Cambridge Review stated that it "harmoniously meshes with its original non partisan clean energy stand." The film has been officially endorsed by Robert Redford's National Resource Defence Council.
