Upcoming Deadline: April 15, 2012 - Regular Deadline
Festival Dates: November 1 to 4, 2012

Celebrating its 10th season this year is the American Conservation Film Festival (ACFF), a celebration of films that educate and inspire people to become engaged in environmental conservation. Combining top-quality films that explore these issues with filmmaker and expert panels and discussions, the Festival aims to both shape the future of our planet and entertain film-loving audiences.

ACFF rolls out the carpet for its filmmakers by hosting special "meet the filmmaker" events and filmmaker forums, and by providing lodging and other amenities for attending filmmakers. The Festival also offers filmmakers the opportunity to connect with industry professionals from nearby Washington, D.C., as well as eager audiences that include like-minded film-fans, artists, and dedicated conservationists.

What's more, the Festival will bestow the Green Fire Award upon the film that best exhibits excellence in filmmaking while presenting a new perspective on the human relationship to the environment. A Student Award valued at $500 USD and an Audience Choice Award will also be presented.
