(Dallas, TX) - The 48 Hour Film Project is back on for Dallas filmmakers, the producers of the event announced today. The national organization named Danny Ohman and Gary Underwood as co-producers for Dallas, keeping the event on schedule for June 15, 16 & 17 in North Texas. Ohman and Underwood will organize and promote the popular filmmaking event which was nearly cancelled following the departure of the events producer in May.

The 48 Hour Film Project is the ultimate filmmaking challenge. Participants are required to film, edit, shoot and deliver a four to seven minute film within 48 hours.

When hes not volunteering to run a film project, Danny is the VP of production for Youtoo Media, an event like the 48 Hour Film Project is really important for young filmmakers seeking experience and exposure to working media professionals in their community, said Ohman. When we heard this might be cancelled this year, I made a few calls to friends who share my passion for film, and we put together a team to keep our local event on schedule.

All event logistics, sponsorship sales and public relations are being handled by co-producer Gary Underwood and exact-communication in Dallas.
