Bring the whole family to experience a world of film. The San Joaquin Film Society, presenter of the annual San Joaquin International Film Festival (SJIFF), is proud to announce the return of one of the festival's most celebrated World Cinema Series: the San Joaquin Children's Film Festival. The 2nd SJCFF will take place April 21st and 22nd at the Janet Leigh Theatre on the campus of University of the Pacific.

Engage with a special selection of new, innovative and award-winning films from master directors and new talents. This year's spotlight is on the extraordinary world of French animated cinema, featuring three of the top independent children's films from France of recent years: "A Cat in Paris," the 2012 Academy Award nominee for Best Animated Feature Film is the Opening Day Feature. As April 22nd is Earth Day, the festival's Centerpiece highlights the new English-language version of the adventurous and meaningful "Mia and the Migoo." World-renown auteur Michel Ocelot's latest work, the enchanting "Tales of the Night," will close the festival, with attendees encouraged to dress up as princesses and princes, queens and kings (winners will be selected; prizes will be bestowed). It's a Small World - the globe-spanning shorts program of films from Australia, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Russia, UK and USA will compete for audience-voted and juried awards.

Festival is open to the public. Discounts are available for Film Society members, seniors 65+, students 26 and under, kids 12 and under, and groups. Foreign-language films will have English subtitles.
