2009 Annual State Awards Australian Cinematographers Society

(Sydney, Australia) Dates for the Annual Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) State Awards ceremony have been announced.

South Australia and Western Australia were the first in the line up to present the prestigious awards on Saturday, November 7, 2009, in Adelaide.

"I'm very excited that the Awards are underway", said Ron Johanson ACS, Federal President of the ACS. "As always, we have a great line up of candidates this year and I'm very much looking forward to attending all the Awards presentations."

There are 16 categories this year from Student Cinematography to Local News, Current Affairs, International News, Short and Feature Films. Many sponsors and supporters, both State and National make the Awards presentations possible. "We can't thank our sponsors enough for contributing to the recognition of some of Australia's best talent in Cinematography. More and more, our Australian talent is being recognised overseas for a variety of projects, and the ACS State Awards are just one of the vehicles that help us acknowledge and highlight the quality that Australian Cinematographers have to offer", said Ron.
