Sydney Film School Comes to Sweden this May/June

How does an idea in a single person's head develop into a story that is created on film by teams of people? How do people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds work together to tell a lucid story that excites the imagination of a cinema audience?

Sydney Film School will be conducting a lecture tour in Sweden to discuss filmmaking and studies in Australia. Student productions will be screened as part of the lectures with an insight into creative collaboration.

We will examine career opportunities in the film industries including international feature film co-productions. Cinema is increasingly becoming a means to cut across cultural boundaries in not only seeing the world through the eyes of others, but also to work alongside these cultures.

We will explore the approaches students use to develop unique and exciting outcomes through their different cultural backgrounds. We will be available for questions about the Sydney Film School course programmes and living in Sydney.

Talks and interviews will be conducted at the following places:

► May 31 and June 1 2009, Stockholm
► June 2, 2009, Malmo
