Video Contests, Film Festivals, and Awards

Selection Committee:

Bob Mataranglo, Award winning video artist and animator.
Eleanor O'Sullivan, Syndicated writer and movie critic for the Asbury Park Press; she has garnered ten critical writing awards over her illustrious career.
Jon Crowley: Executive Producer of truTV who has extensive experience as a producer, writer, director and creator of reality, lifestyle, talk and documentary programming.
Joan Ellis: Movie critic and writer who Newsweek calls "The Pauline Kael of the Internet".
Gedney Webb: award winning Sound Editor who has worked on such films as Chicago and The Good Shepard.

The first annual FilmOneFest will take place on July 18, 2009 (in case of rain or high wind, the event will be held at the auditorium at St Agnes Church, Atlantic Highlands), in the beautiful Atlantic Highlands Marina in historic Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The festival will feature one minute videos and films from local, national and international film makers. Four categories of films and videos will be included - the "Bayshore" category will feature videos and films whose focus addresses issues specific to the Bayshore region including the environment, boating, fishing, and the region's history; a "Student" category will provide an opportunity for young film makers to participate; the "ONE" category will feature work that addresses larger questions of community, politics and social unity; and the "Open" category will feature films and videos that fall outside the other categories (e.g., animation, experimental, etc.).
