Internship Opportunities at StudentFilmmakers Magazine and StudentFilmmakers.com

2009 to 2010

Get your foot in the door in the publishing industry. And, don’t wait until the last minute to hunt for an internship program to fulfill course credit or fulfill what most employers look for in job applicants. Improve and invest in your career path. Gain valuable, real-world experience and participate in meaningful projects that you can add to your resume, while honing your skills. Can lead to paid part-time work, or paid full-time work. Can lead to the opportunity of writing articles and building up your bibliography (writing bylines/credits).

StudentFilmmakers.com (www.studentfilmmakers.com) and StudentFilmmakers Magazine, headquartered in New York City, is offering Course Credit (Non-Paid) Internships. Candidates should be motivated, and have a desire to learn.

This is an excellent opportunity for students in school to fulfill their course or school’s Internship requirements. Ideal candidates understand that the publishing industry is a fast-paced industry, where you’re “up for the challenge”, can roll up your sleeves, and be proud of your achievements, as well as be proud of your contributions to projects. A great opportunity to learn practical skills used in a real publishing office environment.

Requirements:

  • You must supply proof of college/course information.
  • You must provide your professor’s name, email address, and phone number.
  • You must provide a document or letter showing your college or school's internship requirements.
  • You LOVE reading and writing.

Not necessary, but a PLUS:

  • Computer literate (using basic office programs/tools such as Word, Excel, email, and the Internet).
  • Blogging experience. (For example, you’ve had or have a blog on Blogger, MySpace, Facebook, or other, etc.)
  • Photo blogging experience. (For example, you’ve had or have a photo log on Flickr, MySpace, or Facebook.)

Serious applicants only. No phone calls, please. Due to the high volume of incoming phone calls on a daily basis, we ask that you do not call about internships. Email your Resume by copying/pasting it in the body of your email. (Email: jodysolis AT yahoo DOT com).

Please note that this is an INTERNSHIP opportunity. If you send resumes or job inquiries for positions not listed in this post, they will be automatically deleted due to the high volume of incoming correspondence.

Thank you for your interest, and good luck.
